All members of the County Planning Commission shall serve with the compensation that the county deems appropriate, as the county governing body provides in the annual budget. Members may, after a public hearing, be removed from office by the County Council for any reason specified in Maryland Annotated Code, Land Use Article § 2-102(D). The County Council shall file a written statement of reasons for such removal. All members shall be eligible for reappointment. Vacancies occurring otherwise than through the expiration of term shall be filled for the unexpired term by the County Executive subject to confirmation by the County Council. All members of the County Planning Commission shall be residents of Frederick County.
