§ 1-7-61. GENERALLY.
   (A)   Except as provided in § 1-7-62 of this Code, no person shall make any installation of electrical equipment which is subject to the provisions of this article without first obtaining a permit therefor from the Department.
   (B)   All applications for permits shall be in writing, shall be in such form as may be prescribed by the Department and shall describe the work to be done and the location thereof. The application shall be accompanied by such plans, specifications and schedules as shall be necessary to determine whether the installation will be in conformity with the provisions of this article.
   (C)   Each permit shall describe with particularity the installation to be done thereunder, and no person shall install any electrical equipment other than in accordance with the permit.
   (D)   No permit shall be required to repair portable electrical equipment or lighting fixtures, or to repair or replace sockets, receptacles or snap switches, or to make other minor repairs at existing outlets, or to repair motors, or to replace motors with motors of the same electrical characteristics.
   (E)   All electrical permits shall expire 1 year from the date issued except where an extension has been granted. Any permittee holding an unexpired permit shall be allowed to apply for a 1-year extension. The fee for an extension shall be set by resolution of the county governing body.
   (F)   The administrative authority shall have the authority to suspend or revoke a permit issued under the provisions of this code wherever the permit is issued in error or on the basis of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, or in violation of any ordinance or regulation or any of the provisions of this code.
