§ 2-7-9. Penalties for wilful breach of duties and the like by county commissioners or board of estimates.
   Any wilful disregard, breach, evasion, violation or failure to discharge any of the duties imposed by this chapter upon any member of the board of county commissioners or board of estimates or on the part of the members of any other board or by or upon the part of any official is a misdemeanor. Upon indictment for and conviction of this offense in a court of competent jurisdiction for the county, he shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisoned in the county jail for not more than one year or both fined and imprisoned.
