§ 2-2-66. Authorized; purpose.
   The board of county commissioners, by ordinance or resolution, may create an economic development commission for the purpose of advancing the general welfare of the people of Frederick County through programs and activities aimed at developing the county’s natural resources and economic opportunities and to cooperate and offer assistance to existing industry and business. The commission shall promote and encourage the establishing and locating of new industry and business in Frederick County and other matters intended to foster and to develop gainful employment and happiness in all who are now or may become residents of the county.
