A park board is hereby created and shall consist of three (3) resident citizens of the city, appointed by the mayor, with the consent of the city council, one for a term of one year, one for a term of two (2) years, and one for three (3) years who shall serve until their successors shall be appointed and qualified. As their terms expire, the vacancies shall be filled by appointment by the council for a three (3) year term each. In case of a vacancy by death, removal from the city or resignation, the vacancy shall be filled by the council by appointment for the unexpired term. (Ord. 49, 12-5-1922; amd. 2008 Code)
