§ 52.065 VILLAGE AS SUPPLIER.
   (A)   The village will become the supplier to a water district only as agreed under the provisions of a completed contract between the village and the water district.
   (B)   Compliance and liability. All agreements for the village to supply water shall be in compliance with federal, state and local laws. The village shall not be responsible for damages in any failure to supply water or for interruption of supply. The customer agrees to save and hold harmless the village from all damages to real and personal property occasioned or caused by the making of any water connections, or caused by the furnishing of water under the agreement, and shall also keep and save the village harmless from all damage of any kind, nature and description which may arise from the making of an agreement.
   (C)   The village shall bear no liability for defects in the water service prior to or resulting from its freezing, unless the defects were caused directly by the actions of the Water Department.
   (D)   Water service shall not be provided to successive public water systems outside the village unless those systems meet village specifications and all requirements of the New York State Sanitary Code and are properly maintained.
