§ 161.04 HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE (HPC).
    The HPC membership shall be set by the HPC by and through its by-laws, which may be amended by the HPC from time-to-time, as needed. The members shall be appointed by the City of Franklin, Kentucky Board of Commissioners. Of the six members, one member shall be appointed from the members of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Franklin, and one member shall be appointed from the membership of the Board of Directors of Franklin-Simpson Renaissance, Inc. Initial appointments shall be as follows: two appointments for a one-year term; two appointments for two-year terms and two appointments for three-year terms. All subsequent appointments to full terms shall be for three-year terms. Members may serve an unlimited number of consecutive or non-consecutive terms. When a vacancy occurs during a term of office, it shall be filled within 60 days, to fill the unexpired portion of the term. At least three members must possess some expertise in the area of architecture, engineering, land use planning, archaeology, historic preservation or some related field. No member of the Board shall vote on any matter that may affect the property, income or business interest of that member.
