(A) Sewer taps up to six inches and less than five feet in depth may be installed by the city. A fee of $2,000 will be charged to cover the cost of the tap. Alternatively, the tap may be installed by a city-approved contractor. All taps over six inches or at a depth greater than five feet must be installed by a city-approved contractor. All taps installed by a contractor must be inspected by the Superintendent or his or her representative. An inspection fee of $50 will be charged.
(B) The applicant for a building sewer tap shall notify the Superintendent when the building is ready for inspection and connection to the public sewer.
