§ 52.06 RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES AND METHODS OF CORRECTION.
   (A)   All new residential buildings shall be required to install a dual check valve as a minimum containment device. This device will be installed with the meter setter when the city installs the water tap. All residential buildings with backflow devices must have a thermal expansion tank installed to prevent the water heater from exploding.
   (B)   Existing residential buildings are exempt from this chapter unless or until a new or replacement water meter is installed and/or a new or replacement water heater is installed. Upon the occurrence of either of these events, the owner of the residence, building and/or structure shall install a backflow preventer device and thermal expansion tank prior to final approval by the Plumbing Inspector and Director/Utility.
