The mayor, village board, chief of police, and all members of the police force may enter and inspect the premises of each licensee hereunder, or any adjacent premises occupied or controlled by the licensee or his agent, at any time, and they may take possession of and remove any intoxicating liquors found upon the premises in violation of any provision of this chapter and refusal by the licensee to permit such action shall constitute sufficient ground for the immediate suspension or revocation of the license by the local liquor control commissioner.
