The provisions of this title regulating movement or parking of vehicles shall not apply to the driver of any authorized emergency vehicle when responding to an emergency call, but such driver when approaching shall slow down as necessary for safety but may proceed cautiously past a red light or stop sign or signal. At other times, drivers of authorized emergency vehicles shall stop in obedience to a stop sign or signal. (Ord. 503, 9-6-1983)
