§ 32.42 COUNTY ROAD SYSTEMS.
   (A)   The county will protect the efficient functioning of existing roads by limiting access where necessary, protecting rights-of-way from unnecessary encroachments, and ensuring that utility work and other necessary encroachments do not create safety hazards or result in added maintenance costs.
   (B)   A description of the county’s road network will be provided by the County Road Department. These strategies apply to both county roads and public roads that are not maintained by the county.
      (1)   Safe, adequate access to new developments will be required in the county.
      (2)   The county will clarify the status of existing county and public roads, and adopt permit requirements and standards for encroachment.
      (3)   The County Road Department will provide an annually updated road inventory map with classes of all roads within the county clearly coded.
