(A) The Emergency Management Agency shall not have jurisdiction within a political subdivision that has its own certified and/or accredited emergency management agency, but shall cooperate with the emergency management agency of a city, village or incorporated town within its borders as long as the municipal agency is compliant and certified within the requirements of the IEMA Act.
(B) The Emergency Management Agency shall ensure that all recognized municipal emergency management agencies seeking certification are compliant with the IEMA Act and established certification standards set forth by the Director of Emergency Management.
