§ 31.001  NUMBER OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   Members and terms.
      (1)   The number of members of the Board of the Housing Authority shall be increased from five to seven.
      (2)   Two new appointed members of the Board of the Housing Authority shall have terms of five years and four years respectively.
   (B)   Requirements.
      (1)   The position of the new member of the Board of the Housing Authority appointed to the five-year term shall be a position that requires that particular member to be a resident, in good standing of the Housing Authority, as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1437 et seq., the United States Housing Act of 1937 (as amended) and as implemented by relevant provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations.
      (2)   Should this required resident member no longer be a resident of the county, for any reason, then the required resident’s position shall be deemed vacant and the County Board shall appoint a new qualified resident member to the Board of the Housing Authority to fill the unexpired term of the required resident’s position.
      (3)   The Board of the Housing Authority, and/or the Executive Director of the Housing Authority, shall immediately notify the County Board in writing if the required resident member is no longer a resident of the County and the appointment shall occur at the next regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the County Board after said written notification.
