§ 91.53  ADOPTION.
   In the event any animal is not claimed by its owner within the redemption period covered by this chapter, the Administrator or Supervisor-Animal Control Officer, in lieu of dispatching said animal, may consider said animal as abandoned and may adopt out said animal for a reasonable fee and if the animal is in compliance with § 11 of the Animal Control Act, 510 ILCS 5/11.
