(A) The Administrator, Deputy Administrator and Animal Control Officers shall not have the power of police officers except for the purposes of issuing and serving summons and orders for violations of this chapter.
(B) The County Sheriff, and his or her deputies, shall cooperate with the Administrator in carrying out the provisions of this chapter.
(C) The Administrator, Deputy Administrator and Animal Control Officers are prohibited from carrying firearms but are hereby authorized to carry and use tranquilizer guns, mace, humane traps and other such equipment as authorized by the Administrator for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this chapter and 510 ILCS 5/1 et seq., the Animal Control Act.
