(A) The County Chairperson, with the advice and consent of the members of the County Board, shall designate an Ethics Advisor for the county. The duties of the Ethics Advisor may be delegated to an officer or employee of the county unless the position has been created as an office by the County Board pursuant to proper ordinance.
(B) The Ethics Advisor shall provide guidance to the officers and employees of the county concerning the interpretation of the compliance with the provisions of this subchapter and state ethics laws. The Ethics Advisor shall perform such other duties as may be delegated by the County Board.
