(A) An employee who has accrued a sick leave balance of more than 75 hours may request that the county make available for transfer a specified amount of their sick leave balance to another named county employee. The employee may not request a transfer of an amount of leave that would result in reducing their sick leave balance to less than 40 hours.
(B) The employee to receive sick leave transfers must meet the following criteria:
(1) Exhausted all accumulated leave;
(2) Complied with all policies to date with respect to attendance and the use of sick leave;
(3) Obtained written permission from co-worker(s) to have a specified number of hours transferred to the requesting employee; and
(4) Requested in writing to the County Judge/Executive to receive transferred sick leave.
