§ 92.13 LICENSING (FRANKFORT ID TAGS).
   (A)   The owner of any dog or cat kept, maintained or located within the village shall within 14 days of the dog or cat being within the village and on or before January 1 of each year thereafter apply and pay for an animal license to the Clerk of the village or Frankfort Township, Will County, Illinois. As part of the application, the owner shall submit certification from a veterinarian that the dog or cat sought to be licensed has received all inoculations and vaccines as may be required by law, including for rabies.
   (B)   License tag. On completion of all requirements under this chapter and applicable law, the village or Frankfort Township shall issue a license tag bearing the name of the Frankfort or Frankfort Township and the year of issuance. The village and Frankfort Township shall keep a record of all such licenses. The owner shall securely affix and maintain the tag on the collar of the licensed dog or cat.
   (C)   Replacement license. If any license issued within five business days by the village is lost, the owner shall apply to the village for a duplicate license and submit all certifications required when originally issued.
   (D)   The current village animal license fee is $5 for all or any portion of a calendar year.
