7-4-21: PRIVATE WELLS AND WATER SERVICE:
If allowed by federal, state, and local regulation, the sewer and water supervisor may at his discretion allow new municipal water customers to keep their private wells for outdoor irrigation purposes only; provided, however, no physical interconnection of nonmunicipal water sources shall be allowed; and the property shall be inspected by the supervisor annually to verify that no interconnection exists, and an annual inspection fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be paid by the customer. Private wells that are not explicitly allowed by the village to remain in service for irrigation purposes shall be sealed in accordance with the requirements of the county health department.
