7-4-16: PROHIBITED ACTS:
   A.   Resale: No water shall be resold or distributed unless authorized by the Village Board of Trustees by the recipient thereof from the Village water supply to any premises other than that for which application has been made and the water installed. (Ord. 2010-02, 1-26-2010)
   B.   Obstructing Or Damaging Water System:
      1.   No person shall in any manner obstruct the access to any stopcock, hydrant or valve, or any public faucet or opening for taking water in any street, alley, public ground or place connected with or part of the water system, nor pile or place any lumber, brick or building material or other article, thing or hindrance within twelve feet (12') of such water system facilities, or so as to in any manner hinder, delay or obstruct the members of the Fire Department in reaching such facilities.
      2.   It shall be unlawful for any person in any manner to interfere with or obstruct the flow, retention, storage or authorized use of water in the water system, reservoir or plant, or any part thereof, or to injure, deface, remove or displace any water main, hydrant, service pipe, water meter, shutoff box, public fountain, valve, engine, building or any part of the Village waterworks or supply system.    C.   Unapproved Use: Unless approved in writing by the Sewer and Water Supervisor, no person except authorized members of the Village Sewer and Water Department, authorized members of the Fox Lake Fire Protection District and authorized members of the Village Street Department shall connect to any hydrant or other water source owned by the Village.
   D.   Responsibility Of Costs Of Repairs: Any owner, occupant or party or parties in possession of any house, structure, factory, industrial or commercial establishment or any other building of any other character found to violate the terms of this section shall be responsible for the cost of repairs necessitated by the damages caused. In addition, if such violation results in loss of water or nonpayment for water use, then the person who committed the violation shall be responsible for reimbursement to the Village for the estimated cost of the water so lost or not paid for.
