6-2-6: NOTICE OF VIOLATIONS:
   A.   Whenever in the opinion of the building commissioner, any violation of this chapter is found to exist, he shall, within ten (10) days after the inspection, serve written notice of such alleged violation upon the owner or occupant responsible therefor by:
      1.   Personal service;
      2.   Mailing a copy thereof to the alleged violator by registered mail to his last known address; or
      3.   Posting a copy thereof in a conspicuous place in or about the building containing the alleged violation. Such notice may include more than one alleged violation and shall specify a period of time for compliance which shall be such time as in the opinion of the building commissioner is reasonably required to effect change necessary for compliance.
   B.   If any alleged violation, of which notice as aforesaid has been given, is not corrected or eliminated within the time specified in such notice, the owner or occupant shall be subject to the penalty provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code. (1975 Code § 11.03)
