Every building permit issued by the Fox Lake building department shall expire and become null and void six (6) months after the date of issuance. A permittee who holds an unexpired building permit may apply for a onetime extension of that permit for an additional six (6) months, provided the permittee can demonstrate good and satisfactory reasons that the work cannot be completed within the initial six (6) month period. In the event the initial permit has expired, the permittee must apply for a new building permit at the full permit fee in order for the work to continue. (Ord. 98-35, 6-1-1998)
