A. If the owner or occupant of any lot or tract of land in the Village permits any weed, grass or plant herein declared to be a nuisance, to grow thereon to a height exceeding eight inches (8"), or to the extent of maturing its seed, the Village may proceed to destroy same, or cause same to be destroyed, regardless of whether or not any notice shall have been served in accordance with this chapter. The serving of any such notice shall not be a condition precedent to the taking and enforcement of action under this chapter.
B. When the Village destroys the weeds or causes same to be destroyed, all reasonable expenses incurred by the Village, or the person performing the service by authority of the Village, shall be a charge against the owner or occupant of such lot or tract of land, which may be recovered in an appropriate action to be instituted on behalf of the Village or the person performing the service by the Village as aforesaid.
