4-5-4: AGE RESTRICTIONS:
   A.   No person under the age of ten (10) years shall operate a motorboat in the Village. A person who is at least ten (10) years of age and less than twelve (12) years of age may operate a motorboat only if he is accompanied on said motorboat and under the direct control of a parent, guardian or person of at least eighteen (18) years of age designated by said parent or guardian. A person who is twelve (12) years of age but less than eighteen (18) years of age may operate a motorboat in the Village if 1) he is complying with the regulations enumerated above relating to over ten (10) but less than twelve (12) years old, or 2) if he possesses a boating safety certificate issued by the Department of Conservation authorizing the holder to operate a motorboat.
   B.   Violations of this Section done with the knowledge of a parent or guardian shall be deemed a violation by the parent or guardian and the parent or guardian may be punished accordingly.
