APPLICANT: In reference to a municipal multi-family solid waste hauling license, means any person applying for a municipal multi-family solid waste hauling license.
HAULER: Any person who engages in the business of collecting or hauling multi-family municipal solid waste, recyclable material on a continuous and regular basis, and makes multiple scheduled collections per month within the village.
LICENSEE: A person with a valid municipal multi-family solid waste hauling license.
MULTI-FAMILY HOME: Any residential premises of more than four (4) individual residential units, including, without limitation, condominiums and co-ops in buildings containing more than four (4) individual residential units.
MULTI-FAMILY MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE: Garbage, refuse or other material generated from multi-family residential premises.
MULTI-FAMILY RECYCLABLE MATERIALS: Materials that are separated from multi-family municipal solid waste for the purpose of recycling, including, but not limited to, ferrous metal cans, aluminum containers, glass, plastic, which shall include HDPE, PET containers and plastics #3 through #5, newsprint, corrugated paper, junk mail, magazines, office paper and boxboard.
MUNICIPAL MULTI-FAMILY SOLID WASTE HAULING LICENSE: A license issued by the village to a person engaged in the business of multi-family municipal solid waste collection upon application thereto, which will authorize the collection of multi-family municipal solid waste from any multi-family home within the corporate limits of the village.
PERSON: Any individual, firm, limited liability company, association, partnership, political subdivision, government agency, municipality, industry, public or private corporation or any other legal entity whatsoever.
RECYCLING: Any process by which materials that would otherwise be disposed of or discarded are collected, separated or processed and returned to the economic mainstream in the form of raw materials or products.
VILLAGE: The village of Fox Lake, Illinois, a municipal corporation of the state of Illinois. (Ord. 2007-17, 4-24-2007)
