3-11-6: DIRECT CONNECTION TO VILLAGE FACILITIES:
   A.   After issuance by the Village Police Department of a permit, the holder of the permit for alarms from business premises, financial institutions and residences may have such alarms or alarm systems so installed as to terminate within the Village alarm facilities.
   B.   An alarm user approved for a direct connection to Village alarm facilities, or the company contracting for servicing the alarm user's alarm system shall be responsible for obtaining the data path between the alarm user's premises and the alarm receiving equipment, if required, in order to provide an input signal which is compatible with the receiving equipment.
   C.   All signals transmitted over such wires shall be transmitted in a method compatible with the alarm receiving equipment and the requirements of the Village.
   D.   Such alarms shall be subject to the same provisions concerning false alarms as other systems addressed herein.
   E.   All direct connections to the Village shall be in accordance with the current agreement in effect between the Village and the Village's alarm maintenance contractor.
   F.   It shall be the duty and obligation of every alarm user who occupies a place of business or private residence with an alarm system or service to install all necessary equipment and maintain it in good condition and working order at the expense of said alarm user.
   G.   Each direct communication alarm system user in the Village shall provide an alternative source of power for the alarm system in order to prevent false alarms due to failure of power supplied from the utility company. Such alternative source of power shall have the capacity to provide power for at least twenty four (24) hours subsequent to any power failure. (Ord. 96-31, 8-19-1996)
