3-9-3: LICENSING:
   A.   Required: No person shall conduct the business of servicing agency without first being licensed to do so, making application for such license on a form adopted by the Village Treasurer. (Ord. 81-12, 4-20-81; amd. 89-34, 2-6-89)
   B.   License Term and Fee: The term of licenses issued hereunder shall be from January 1 through December 31 of each year, and the yearly licensing fee shall be two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). There shall be a maximum of one license issued pursuant to this Chapter.
   C.   Persons Ineligible:
      1.   No person shall be issued a license hereunder who has, within the seven (7) years preceding application for license, been convicted of any felony in violation of the laws of the State, or of the United States, or of any of the criminal laws of either in which gambling was an element of the offense charged. If applicant is not an individual, than no officer, director or other principal of such business shall have been so convicted.
      2.   No person previously engaged in the business of servicing agency in the State nor any business entity so engaged shall be licensed hereunder, if, during the ninety (90) day period preceding application, such person or business entity failed to maintain original records as defined herein, substantially as required by this Chapter. If such applicant shall have conducted business for less than ninety (90) days, then applicant shall not be licensed unless records were so kept and maintained during the period of operation of the business.
