Not sooner than ten (10) days after the publication of the appropriation ordinance for fiscal years ending prior to May 1, 2015, and the annual budget ordinance for all fiscal years beginning with May 1, 2015, a tax levy ordinance shall be enacted levying such taxes as may be needed to meet the anticipated expenses of the coming year, together with such taxes as may be required to meet outstanding bond issues, or for purposes payable from special taxes properly authorized. A certified copy of the tax levy ordinance shall be filed with the County Clerk of both Lake and McHenry Counties not later than the last Tuesday in December of each year. Such ordinance shall show the total appropriated or budgeted for each item, and the amount of tax levied therefor. (Ord. 2014-36, 11-25-2014)
