A. As soon as practicable at the close of each fiscal year, and not later than six (6) months thereafter, there shall be an audit of all accounts of the Village, made by a competent person authorized to act as an auditor under the laws of Illinois, to be designated by the Board. Copies of such audit report shall be filed with the Clerk and any other officers, departments or places as may be required by law.
B. The Village Board of Trustees shall not employ the same Village Auditor for longer than six (6) years. After six (6) years of service by the same Village Auditor, a six (6) year interval of time shall pass before the same auditor is employed again by the Village. (Ord. 99-21, 6-7-1999)
