Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, the President shall give a bond with sureties to be approved by the Board of Trustees, conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties, in the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) and he or she shall take the oath of office as prescribed by statute.
Until the term of the Village President commencing with the first regular or special meeting in May 2005, the salary of the Village President shall continue to be four hundred seventeen dollars ($417.00) per regular and special meeting attended until the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) has been paid in annual compensation. In addition, the salary for Liquor Commissioner shall continue to be one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year. (Ord. 2004-52, 9-14-2004)
For the term of the Village President commencing with the first regular or special meeting in May 2005, the Village President's salary shall be fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) annually, payable twice a month, plus one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year for serving as Liquor Commissioner, plus one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each liquor related incident that leads to the convening of a hearing regarding a fine, suspension, or revocation of a liquor license. No additional compensation shall be paid to the Village President for attending committee meetings, or Strategic Planning Team meetings. (Ord. 2004-52, 9-14-2004; amd. Ord. 2017-23, 5-9-2017)
