In accordance with Section 1 of Chapter II of the General Law Village Act, as amended by Public Acts 2003, No. 305, and by Public Acts 2004, No. 300, the offices of the Village Clerk and the Village Treasurer shall be filled by the nomination of a candidate for each position by the Village President and appointment by the Village Council (M.C.L.A. §62.1).
