9.01 Nominations and Elections
   (A)   Nonpartisan primary and general elections shall be held at the times and on the dates as provided by the general laws of Ohio. Political Party affiliations shall not be printed on petitions or on the ballot.
   (B)    To qualify for the primary election, petitions of candidacy for the offices of Mayor, City Auditor and Council members at large shall contain valid signatures of 50 electors of the City. To qualify for the primary election, petitions of candidacy for the office of ward Council member shall contain valid signatures of 25 electors of the ward.
   (C)   The two candidates for each of the offices of Mayor, City Auditor and Ward Council member that receives the greater number of votes at the primary election shall stand for election at the General Election.
   (D)   The six candidates for the office of Council members at large that receive the greater number of votes at the primary election shall stand for election at the general election for the three at large seats.
   (E)   Only persons that are approved by a vote of the electors at the primary election shall be given a place on the ballot at the general election.
   (F)   Except as provided in this Charter, elections held for the purposes of nominating and electing officials shall be held in conformity with the election laws of Ohio.
