(a) No minor under the age of sixteen years shall ride in a motor vehicle, or be on the public streets, other public places, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. All other days and all periods when school is not officially in session, the curfew is 11:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.
(b) No minor age sixteen through seventeen shall ride in a motor vehicle, or be on the public streets, other public places, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places between the hours of 11:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. All other days and all periods when school is not officially in session, the curfew is 12:00 a.m. through 5:00 a.m.
(c) However, the provisions of this section do not apply to minors accompanied by their parents, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor or when the minor is upon an emergency errand directed by his/her parents, guardian, or other adult person having the care or custody of the minor.
