505.02 DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS.
   (a)   It shall be unlawful for any owner or owners, or any person or persons having custody or control of any dog or dogs to permit the same to run at large in any street, avenue, alley, or public ground within the City, or upon any unenclosed land or upon any premises within the City, other than those owned or occupied by the owner or person having custody of the dog or dogs.
   (b)   No person who is the owner of or who has charge of horses, mules, cattle, swine, sheep, goats, geese, ducks, turkeys, chickens, or other fowl or animals not covered by other sections of these Codified Ordinances shall allow the same to run at large on any public streets or on any unenclosed lands within the corporate limits.
   (c)   Unrestrained dogs, cats and nuisance animals shall be taken by the police, Dog Warden, or Humane Officers and impounded in the animal shelter and there confined in a humane manner. (1979 Code 91.08, 91.20)
   (d)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
