No person owning, keeping or harboring a wild or exotic animal shall fail to visibly and prominently post and display the sign issued to thc applicant as provided in Section 503.04 (e) at the entrance to the residence wherein such wild or exotic animal is kept or harbored. Provided however, that if such wild or exotic animal is not kept at some place within such residence, then and in that event, such sign shall be visibly and prominently posted and displayed on the structure containing such animal. The reason for such posting and display is for the purpose of providing notice to the public and public safety personnel that wild or exotic animals are being kept or harbored upon the premises. If such sign is lost, damaged, destroyed or otherwise removed, the owner, keeper or harborer shall immediately obtain a replacement sign from the Director of Public Safety and shall forthwith display the same as herein provided.
