149.03 EMERGENCY FIREMEN.

The Director of Public Service and Safety is authorized in case of emergency to employ emergency firemen, and the salary of each emergency fireman shall be the same as is paid to regular firemen during their first year of service in the employ of the City. The salary of the emergency firemen shall be figured in accordance with the time actually employed, and shall be payable in semimonthly installments.
