The Director of Public Service and Safety shall demand and receive from the person making application for the permit a bond in any sum not less than one thousand dollars ($1000), given to his satisfaction and signed by the person making application, together with two responsible freeholders living in this City to insure that the building will be moved in a workmanlike manner, without unnecessary delay, and to secure the payment to the City or any other person sustaining damage by the removal of the building or structure, any and all such loss or damage. However, no permit shall be given to move any building or structure to any part of the City where the erection or maintenance of buildings of like character is prohibited or undesirable.
