913.05 CEMENT SIDEWALKS.
   All cement sidewalks constructed within the City shall be laid in sections upon a good and substantial foundation, which shall be well tamped into place before the concrete or cement is placed thereon. All sidewalks shall be at least four inches thick except where crossing a driveway, in which case they shall be at least six inches thick. All concrete sidewalks shall slope toward the street at a rate of l/4-inch per one foot. All concrete sidewalks shall be formed with wood or metal forms extending to the full depth of the concrete. Premolded expansion joint fillers shall be installed between the sidewalks and any fixed structure to the depth of the new concrete, and transversely at intervals not to exceed 40 feet. There shall be no joints lengthwise in any concrete sidewalks where the sidewalk does not exceed five feet in width. The sidewalk shall be divided into blocks at intervals of four feet. All concrete sidewalks shall have a nonskid surface.
