Ordinance # 2018-2B

   AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE

   CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE TOWN OF FORTVILLE, INDIANA

   RECITALS

   1.   American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the supplement to the Fortville Town Code ("Code") , which supplement contains all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the prior supplement to the Code.

   2.   American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code which are based on or make reference to sections of the Indiana code.

   3.   It is the intent of the Fortville Town Council to accept these updated sections in accordance with Indiana law.

   4.   It is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the municipality and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare of the municipality that this ordinance take effect upon its passage.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Fortville Town Council as follows:

   SECTION 1. The supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Political Subdivision, as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, and as attached hereto, be and the same is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in its entirety.

   SECTION 2. Such supplement shall be deemed published as of the day of its adoption and approval by the Fortville Town Council and the Fortville Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and ordered to insert such supplement into the copy of the Code kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.

   SECTION 3. If any provision in this Ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of the Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.

   SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage and publication as required by law.

Duly ordained and passed this 5th day or March, 2018 by the Town Council of the Town of Fortville, Hancock County, Indiana, having been passed by a vote of 4 in favor and 0 opposed.
