It is recognized that, from time to time, stormwater management design professionals may need to deviate from policies, procedures, technical standards, and design criteria adopted by the town. This variance policy is provided to give the stormwater management design professional guidance on what deviations from policies, procedures, technical standards, and design criteria will necessitate a formal variance request. In general, proposed deviations from policies and procedures set forth in this chapter will be processed as variances, and proposed deviations from the Stormwater Technical Standards Manual (including Appendix D of those Standards) will require review and approval from town staff.
