12-1-3: INTERPRETATION AND APPLICATION OF PROVISIONS:
   A.   Minimum Requirements: In interpretation and application, the provisions of this zoning code shall be held to be minimum requirements, adopted for the promotion of the public health, safety, morals, or general welfare.
   B.   Conflicting Provisions:
      1.   Wherever the requirements of this zoning code are at variance with the requirements of any other lawfully adopted rules, regulations, ordinances, deed restrictions, or covenants, the most restrictive or that imposing the higher standards shall govern.
      2.   Wherever the regulations made under authority of this zoning code require a greater width or size of yards, courts or other open spaces, or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied, or impose other higher standards than are required in any other statute or local ordinance or regulations, the provisions of the regulations made under authority of this zoning code shall govern. Wherever the provisions of any other statute or local ordinance or regulation require a greater width or size of yards, courts, or other open spaces, or require a lower height of building, or a lesser number of stories, or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied or impose other higher standards than are required by the regulations made under authority of this zoning code, the provisions of such statute, or local ordinance or regulation shall govern. In no event shall any provision of this zoning code apply to any property of any railway company or terminal company. (Ord. 1997-3-1, 3-10-1997)
