A.   The town planning commission shall have all the powers and duties prescribed for it by state law and all other powers and duties now or hereafter prescribed for it by any other provision of ordinance or law, including, but not limited to, the following: (Ord. 1997-3-1, 3-10-1997; amd. 2006 Code)
      1.   To investigate and recommend to the mayor and board of trustees suitable zoning ordinances for the town.
      2.   To investigate and make recommendations concerning the physical development, growth, improvement, convenience and beautification of the town.
      3.   To investigate all matters relating to the location and development of parks, recreation places, streets, public grounds, location and design of public buildings and public structures, and to make a report of their findings on any proposed or contemplated project relative to any of the above matters to the town board of trustees.
   B.   All findings and recommendations of the planning commission affecting private property shall be submitted in writing to the town board of trustees for their examination, approval or rejection. (Ord. 1997-3-1, 3-10-1997)
