6-2-2: DATES AND LOCATIONS FIREWORKS PROHIBITED:
In addition to authority under Montana law:
   A.   Sale Of Fireworks: It shall be unlawful for any person to sell any fireworks except on the following dates:
June 24 through July 5 each year; and
December 29 through December 31 each year.
   B.   Location Restrictions On Discharge Of Fireworks: It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge or cause to be discharged any fireworks in the following locations at all times:
Main Street
Front Street
   C.   Time Restrictions On Discharge of Fireworks: It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge or cause to be discharged any fireworks within the exterior boundaries of the City of Forsyth except on the following dates and times:
July 4: Twelve o'clock (12:00) noon through twelve o'clock (12:00) midnight July 5 each year; and
December 31: Four o'clock (4:00) P.M. through twelve thirty o'clock (12:30) A.M. January 1 each year.
   D.   Permit Required:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any vendor to sell fireworks within the exterior boundaries of the City of Forsyth without first obtaining a business license from the City Clerk. Vendors who obtain a business license to sell fireworks within the City of Forsyth may only sell fireworks between June 24 and July 5, and December 29 and December 31 each year as provided for under Montana Code Annotated section 50-37-106.
      2.   Vendors who obtain a permit to sell fireworks within the City of Forsyth must strictly comply with all requirements of State law. (Ord. 2011-02, 10-24-2011; Ord. 2015-06, 9-28-2015; Ord. 2021-02, 9-27-2021)
