(A) Members and appointment. The Planning Commission shall consist of seven members, citizens of the village, appointed by the President of the Board of Trustees on the basis of their particular fitness for their duty on said Planning Commission and subject to the approval of the Village Board of Trustees. Persons may be appointed as ex officio members of the Planning Commission for terms coterminous with the terms of their elected or appointed office. Said members shall not enjoy voting privileges.
(B) Makeup of Planning Commission. Members of the Planning Commission shall reside within the village or within territory contiguous to the village and not more than one and one-half miles beyond the corporate limits and not included within any other municipality.
