The Planning Commission shall make use of all extraterritorial jurisdiction granted by state law and shall examine all subdivision plats within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the village. The intent of such examination will be to assure that subdivisions located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the village conform to current village standards for subdivision of lands. However, failure of the Planning Commission to review an extraterritorial development shall not preclude the Village Board of Trustees from initiating action to enforce village requirements should the Planning Commission fail to act.
