8-3-7: LAND DIVISIONS:

A. Subdivision: The provisions of this chapter apply to any division of land into two (2) or more parts, any of which is less than five (5) acres in area, provided however, that the provisions of this chapter do not apply and no subdivision plat is required in the event of any of the instances listed in 765 Illinois Compiled Statutes 205/1(b) of the Illinois Plat Act.
