A. Adoption: Except insofar as the application thereof is clearly impractical or inappropriate, in view of the context or purposes thereof, all of the definitions, requirements, regulations, prohibitions, provisions and sections of the Illinois vehicle code 1 , as amended, are by reference hereby adopted as ordinance definitions, requirements, regulations, prohibitions, provisions and sections of the village vehicle code. Any and all violations of the Illinois vehicle code, as amended, shall be considered violations of this section and each such violation shall subject the violator thereof to the penalty provisions of this section; and the section numbers of the Illinois vehicle code are hereby adopted as section numbers of this code and may be cited as such.
B. Ratification: Except as modified or changed herein, all village ordinances heretofore adopted and/or amended that are still in full force and effect, are hereby ratified, confirmed and approved. (1990 Code)
C. Penalty: Any person adjudged guilty of violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not less than seventy five dollars ($75.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed for each day during which any violation of this chapter occurs, continues or is permitted. Fines are delinquent thirty (30) days after issuance. A penalty of twenty dollars ($20.00) will be assessed to any delinquent citations. (Ord. 2010-09, 9-7-2010, eff. 9-17-2010)
