5-2-2-1: GAMBLING:
   A.   Prohibition: It shall be unlawful to gamble or attend any gambling resort to make any bet, lottery or gambling hazard, or to buy or sell any chances or tickets in any gambling game, arrangement or device, except where such is permitted under the Illinois Compiled Statutes.    B.   Devices: It shall be unlawful to possess any gambling device or paraphernalia with the intent to use the same for an unlawful purpose; and any such device or paraphernalia kept with such intent may be confiscated by any member of the police department. (1970 Code §519)
   C.   Gambling Houses: It shall be unlawful to maintain or patronize any establishment maintained for a gambling house or resort. (1970 Code §520)
   D.   Advertising: It shall be unlawful to advertise any gambling house or resort in any street, alley or other public place within the village. (1970 Code §521)
   E.   Penalty: Any person violating any provision of this section shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense; and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
