5-1-5: RESISTING AN OFFICER:
Whoever shall resist any policeman in the discharge of his duty or shall interfere with, hinder, or prevent him from discharging his duty, or shall in any manner assist any person in custody of any such officer to escape, or shall rescue or attempt to rescue any person so in custody, shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
